Patient Care

The Division of Geriatrics & Nutritional Science is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art medical care. Our physicians are faculty members of Washington University School of Medicine. They provide care at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and at other facilities affiliated with the School of Medicine. We offer the following services:

Barnes-Jewish Extended Care — a 120-bed skilled nursing facility affiliated with Barnes-Jewish Hospital and located just a few miles away; (314) 725-7447.

Clinical Trials — enrolling volunteers in a wide variety of clinical studies on weight management, aging and botanical medicines.

Geriatric Consultation Service — consultation for patients who are hospitalized at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis (TRISL); (314) 286-2700.

Nutrition at Washington University Hilltop Campus — offering nutrition information and counseling for students; (314) 935-7098.

Nutrition Support Service — provides inpatient consultation for all aspects of nutrition support. phone:(314) 362-8708, pager: (314) 790-4677

Older Adult Assessment Program — provides guidance for older adults on health issues such as memory loss, confusion, immobility, incontinence, falls, medication, nutrition and depression; (314) 286-2700.

Osteoporosis and Menopause Clinic — (314) 286-2700.

Weight Management and Eating Disorders Program — offers weight loss and maintenance treatments, medical monitoring, exercise programs, and an obesity surgery program. In addition, the clinic provides outpatient treatment options for people suffering from various eating and weight-related disorders including binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa, and anorexia nervosa; (314) 286-2080.
