Geriatric Consultation Service at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis (TRISL)

The Division of Geriatrics and Nutritional Science provides consultation for patients who are hospitalized at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis (TRISL). These services include a comprehensive clinical evaluation of medical, psychological, social and functional status. A multidisciplinary team is available for consultation. Key problems in the acute care setting include delerium, falls, depression, functional decline, infections, incontinence, malnutrition, pressure sores, drug interactions and side effects, and prolonged hospital stay.
