How to Apply

1. Apply through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service). The application must include the application information with picture; three (3) Letters of Recommendation (one letter must be a Program Director letter); Personal Goals Statement; Medical School Transcript; Medical School Diploma; USMLE and/or COMLEX Transcript; ECFMG Status Report (certificate number and date).

2. Apply directly to Washington University via mail.
Print out The Application and fill out completely. Mail in the completed application with a passport size photograph; three (3) Letters of Recommendation (one letter must be a Program Director letter); Personal Goals Statement; Medical School Transcript; Medical School Diploma; USMLE and/or COMLEX Transcript; ECFMG Status Report (certificate number and date). Mail this information to:

TIMELINE FOR THE APPLICATION PROCESS
• July 15 – Current application available on ERAS system
• July 15 through December 31 – applications accepted
• Interviewing begins in October for selected applicants
• We accept J-1 visas. H1B visas are accepted with stipulations between Barnes-Jewish Hospital and the Geriatrics Department
• Geriatrics does not participate in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP)
